PRO Winter School is focused on doctoral students in Fracture Mechanics. It is open to highly motivated students outside the NewFrac project as well. The event will be held in hybrid mode, although in person participation is highly encouraged. 

Application for participation is required by filling the following application form:

Deadline 10/12/2021. A message of confirmation along with detailed instructions will be sent to participant´s e-mails provided.

To obtain a certificate of having passed the CORE school (5ECTs credits) requires:
- Assistance to at least 85% of the lectures
- Achieve at least 50% in the multiple-choice final online test on 28/02/2022 at 11:00h CET


December 13, 2021: submission of the expression of interest through the above google form
December 23, 2021: abstract submission for the 2nd Workshop
By January 14, 2022: notification of acceptance to the PRO School and to the 2nd Workshop
January 21, 2022: payment of the registration fees


Here you can find some hotel or b&b that have some special deals with the IMT School. If you tell the hotel that you are participating in a workshop organized by the IMT School, they give you a discount on the price of the room. 

Here some information on how to reach Lucca and the IMT School Campus located in Piazza San Francesco 19, Lucca. The workshop will take place in the Cappella Guinigi (auditorium). The closest airports are Pisa and Florence. 

Following some important information about the current COVID-19 restrictions: 

If you come by plane, please check the restrictions at your airline's website ensure.
At least: antigenic test within 24 hours from the flight or PCR molecular test within 48 hours + green pass (EU vaccination certificate) + FPP2 mask

Vaccination certificate is mandatory
During the full time at Workshop-1:
- face mask are mandatory to wear (only a FFP2 mask is admitted); 
- safety distance is required in enclosed or open spaces; 
- hand cleaning with hydroalcoholic gel is recommended; 
- local restrictions at the time in Lucca must be always respected.
